DESIGN FOR A TRlCYCLE-FRAME.
SPEGIFICATIEON forming part of Design No. 34,693, dated June 25, 1901. I
Application filed May 23, 1901. Serial No. 61,626. Term of patent 7 years.
T0 all whom, it ntcty concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE W. MILLER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Buffalo, in the county of Erie and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a TricycleFrame, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
This design relates to the shape or configuration of tricycle-frames.
The accompanying drawing is a perspective view of a tricycle-frame embodying my design.
The leading feature of this design consists of a rectangular frame having its central portion depressed below its rear portion, posts or standards arranged near the junction of the raised rear portion andthe depressed central portion of the frame and extending above said rear portion, and rearwardly-inclined fork members extending from the upper portions of said standards to the rear portion of the frame.
Referring to the drawing, A is the steeringhead of the tricycle-frame, and A represents reach members, which extend laterally from opposite sides of the steering-head and thence rearwardly and downwardly in a compound curve.
B represents vertical members, which extend downwardly from the rear portions of the reach members A, and B is a transverse brace which connects the upper portions of said vertical members.
0 represents horizontal members, which form the side bars of the depressed portion of the frame and which extend rearwardly from the lower ends of the vertical members B.
D represents vertical rear members extending upwardly from the rear ends of the longitudinal members 0, and e e are oppositely inclined braces, which connect the vertical front and rear members 13 D with the depressed side bars 0.
F represents the side bars of the rect-angd lar rear portion of the frame.
G is a cross-bar which connects the rear ends of said side bars, and G is a cross-bar which connects said side bars near their front ends. These side bars extend rearwardly from the upper ends of the vertical rear members D of the depressed portion of the frame.
H represents horizontal brackets, which extend outwardly from the front portions of the raised side bars F, and I represents posts or standards, which rise from said brackets and terminate in transverse sleeves h.
J represents rearwardly -inclined forks, which extend from the upper ends of the standards I to the rear portion of the frame. The inner arms of these forks are connected to the rear corners of the frame, and each of these forks has a stem 9', which is connected at its upper end to the adjacent standard I.
What I claim i.,--
The design for a tricycle-frame, substan tially as herein shown and. described.
Witness my hand this 14th day of May,1901.
GEORGE W. MILLER.
