DESIGN FOR A TILE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,586, dated May 28, 1901.
Application tiled April 11, 1901. Serial No. 55,427. Term of patent 14 years.
T0 @ZZ whom, it 11mg; concern: Be it known that we, LUD WEIL, residing at Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, and FREDERICK NELSON LE BARON, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, citizens of the United States, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Tile; and we do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accom panying drawings, forming a part thereof.
This invention relates to anew and original design for glass or other tiles, as illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which:-
Figure l is a plan view of the tile. Fig. 2 is an end view, and Fig. 3 is a section on the line of Fig. l.
The tile comprises a substantially rectangular-shaped plate A, plain on one surface and serrated on the ,other surface, as at a, the ser rations running longitudinally of the plate and extending to points slightly short ofthe edges thereof. On opposite sides of the respective edges of the plate are flanges or beads B, also running longitudinally from end to end of the plate. At the respective sides of both ends of the plate are Wedge-shaped flanges C, their widest portions being adjacent the anges B and separated therefrom by spaces or channels b.
The essential features of the design are the substantially rectangular plate provided with the oppositely-disposed longitudinal ilanges or ribs and the wedge-shaped ianges projecting from the ends of the saine.
Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new, and desired to be secured by Letters Patent, is-e- The design for a tile substantially as herein shown and described.
