WILLIAM FEHR, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, ASSIGNOR TO THE STEEL HEDDLE MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A LOOM-HEDDLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,034, dated February 5, 1901.
Application filed January 9, 1901. Serial No. 42,700. Term of patent 14 years.
To aZZ whmn it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM FEHR, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, haveinvented and produced a certain new and original Design for LooinI-Ieddles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which Figure l is a top or plan view of a heddle of the design of my invention, and Fig. 2 is a side elevational view of the same.
The leading or material feature of my invention consists of the shape or configuration of the heddle.
Referring to the drawings, a is the fiat heddle-bar, having an eye I) provided therein and the respective end portions offset at (2, substan tially as illustrated, and with fiat straight extensions 01 beyond the ofiset end portions. The ofiset end portions 0 of the heddle proper,
as viewed in side elevation in Fig. 2, in appearance represent an angular or box-like figure when two are placed side by side, only one being shown, however, in the drawings, and the eye I), while elliptical in shape, has the walls of the same made to stagger with respect to each other, as illustrated in Fig. 1 of the drawings.
Having thus described the nature and object of my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
