DESlGN FOR A GAME-BOARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,101, dated March 6, 1894.
Application filed February 1, 1894. Serial No. 498,797 Term ofpatcnt 7 years.
To on whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, WALTER A. WELLS, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Chicago, county of Cook, and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Game-l$oards, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, making part of this specification.
The leading features of my design consist in the squares of different colors, around a circle in the center of the game board; in the four stars with the open centers, located outside of and beyond the squares; also in the octagonal band forming the boundary of and surrounding the squares, and in the filigree work, composed of concentric circles, as shown in the drawin The accompanying drawing represents a plan or face View of my game board.
A indicates a. circle, which forms the center of the game board.
ll, l;,1l and 13 indicate series of squares,
of difierent colors, surrounding the circle A,
each of the series differing from the others in shading or color, so as to he readily distinguishable.
C, (I, are stars, with open circular centers; they are ion" in number and are located one at each corner of the design.
D represents a hand or boundary line, be ing octagonal in contour and surrounding the squares 13, 13, JP and 1 as shown, and also lying between and separating the squares from the stars L.
What I claim is The design for a game board, herein described and shown.
