DESIGN FOR A WASHING-MACHINE PLUNGER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,658, dated May 17, 1898.
Application filed March 9, 1898. Serial No. 673,271. Term of patent 14 years.
To aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, Smnon BROWN and THOMAS P. BROWN, citizens of the United States, residing at Purity, in the county of Licking and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a newand useful Design for \Vashing-Machine Plungers, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view illustratingthe invention. Fig. 2 is a section on the line a: a: of Fig. 1.
The leading or material feature of our design is the formation on a block 1 of rear wardly-extending parallel fingers 2 2, located, respectively, at equal distances from the ends of said block, and a finger 3, leading rearwardly from one end of said block, the upper surface thereof being out upon a com pound curve, as clearly shown. The lower surfaces of the fingers 2 2 and 3 are flat and lie in line with one another and with the bottom of the block 1. The forward end of the block 1 is formed with a series of verLically-disposed ribs 4: 4, having projecting fingers 5 at the lower ends thereof, and the under surface of the block 1 is formed with parallel grooves 6 6.
