DESIGN FOR A FLUE-CLEANER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,875, dated November 16, M97.
Application filed June 10, 1897. Serial No. 640,257. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE E. SHIRLEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Galena, in the county of Cherokee and State of Kansas, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Flue-Cleaner, of
which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 represents a perspective View of my invention. Fig. 2 is an end View of my design.
The leading feature of my invention consists in the 1ougitudinally-disposed tangs secured to a handle at one end and twisted near that end a quarter-turn, so as to bring the outer edges of the tangs in straight parallel lines along their main working faces, each tang having transverse blades projecting from its opposite sides, the blades of each tang being arranged alternately With those of adjacent tangs.
In the drawings, 1 represents a handle.
2 are a series of spring-tangs secured to thehandle and twisted intermediaiely, so that their working faces will lie in straight parallel lines.
Krepresents a. series of transversely-disposed blades upon the tangs. The blades of each tang are arranged alternately with those of the adjacent tangs. The ends of the tangs i are curved at their ends, as at .4.

The design for a flue-cleaner substantially as shown and described.
