'lO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that I, DAVID HATDAWAY, of the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer, and State of l York, have invented or produced a new and original ornamental Design for Plates of a. Stove, of which following is a full and exact description, reference being had by letters to the accompanying photographs, which- Figure 1 represents a frontplate,

Figure 2 an end plate,

Figure 3 a top plate, and

Figure 4 the cap or urn plates of a stove having my said design.

The ornamental design of the front plate A consists of three arched mouldings b and b' b over the ori ments c and c c', the two ornamental pillars or pilasters d d, and the oval surfaces e f g h on the raised ori mental panel i, all shaped and arranged on the plate A so as to present the appearance represented in fig. The ornamental design of the end plate B consists of the ornaments jj, a representation of a projecting w dow, k, with zigzag ornaments l and mouldings m on its frame, and theornamental base n, and lower ornamen panels o o o, all shaped and arranged on theplate B as shown in fig. 2. The ornamental design of the top pl: C consists of the raised ornamental internal ledge portion p, and lower border portion, having thereon the 1' of ornaments q, the whole shaped and arranged so as to appear as shown in fig. 3. And the ornamental desi of' the cap or urn plates D consists ofthe oval open-work part r between an outer moulding, s, and an inner ol t, and the open-work oval riin piece u, supported by the scroll leaves v, all shaped and arranged so as to app( as represented in fig. 4.

That I do claim as my invention and production, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The above-described ornamental design of the plates A, B, C, and D of a stove.
