DESIGN FOR A HOOK FOR GARMENT-FASTENERS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,699, dated June 80, 1896.
Application filed March 7, 1896. Serial No. 582,267. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FREDERICK C. RAY- MOND, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of New York, in the county and State of. New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Hooks of Garment-Fasteners, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.
In the drawings, Figures 1 and 2 represent in perspective two views of a hook for a garment-fastener embodying my design, Fig. 1 being a front view and Fig. 2 a back view.
A hook embodying my design consists of a stock or back portion A and a reverted tongue B. The stock. or back portion A tapers from the root (1. of the tongue 13 in converging straight lines 3 3, which are united in the tail of the stock by still further eonVerging lines 4 -t and a cross-line 5, forming four angles (3 (I 7 T. The tongue has its sides slightly converging, as shown at 8 S, and its tip 9 rounded, and from the sides of the stock A, near the root (1 of the tongue, there project outwardly two lugs I), which terminate in lnultangular form, as shown at .l 9. The hook has a central opening 0 d, which runs through the stock and tongue and the sides of which are straight and approximately parallel with the exteriorlines 3 3. The end not this opening is straight and parallel with the end 5 of the stock.
\Vhat I claim is- The design for the hook of a garment-fastener, substantially as herein shown and described.
