PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A LIPSTICK CONTAINER OR SIMILAR ARTICLE Application June 17, 1938, Serial No. 77,902

Be it known that Lloyd J. Davenport, a citizen of the United States and resident of Kearny, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, has invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Lipstick Container or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, in which,

Fig. 1 is a front elevational View of a lipstick container embodying my new design;

Fig. 2 is a top plan view thereof;

Figs. 3 and 4 are side elevational views thereof;

Fig. 5 is a bottom plan view thereof; and

Fig. 6 is a view similar to Fig. 2 but with the cover in open position.

The dominant feature of the present design resides in an elongated tubular metallic lipstick container of substantially square cross-sectional contour as shown, having on each of its four side faces a metallic ridge integral with the body of the container, each of said ridges extending longitudinally of the container and disposed substantially midway between the edges and continuing on to cross at the top and bottom. of said container, said ridges being ornamented to resemble twisting.

I claim:

The ornamental design for a lipstick container or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
