PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A WATQHCASE Albert V. Stegeman, Jr., Fort Thomas, Ky., assignor to The Wadsworth Watch Case Company, Dayton, Ky., a corporation of Kentucky Application June 16, 1938, Serial No. 77,889

Term of patent 7 years To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, Albert V. Stegeman, Jr., a citizen of the United States and a resident of Fort Thomas, in the county of Campbell and State of Kentucky, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Watchcase, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

In the drawing:

Figure 1 is an edge view of my watchcase from" the stem side.

Figure 2 is a face view thereof. Figure 3 is an edge view from the side opposite the stem.

Figure 4 is a back view of the case. Figures 5, 6 and 7 are respectively sectional views of the case taken along the lines 55, 6-6,

and l! of Figure 2, so as to show the con tour of the case along these lines.

The dominant feature of the design is to be found in the combination of a thickening of the face-to-back section of the watchcase from one end toward the other, and a concurrent narrowing of the case in face view toward the thicker end, so that the thinner end of the case is wider while the thicker end is narrower. The outline of the dial substantially follows the outline ofthe sides and ends of the case; and the lines of the case I are smooth and flowing.
