Description

1938. A. E. REPENNING Des. 110,731
BOTTLE Filed March l7 1938 Patented Aug. 2, 1938 UNITED STATES Des. 110,731
PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A BOTTLE Albert E. Repenning, Oak Park, Ill., assignor to Orange Crush Company, Chicago, Ill., a corporation of Illinois To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, Albert E. Repenning, a citizen of the United States and a resident of Oak Park, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Bottle, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming a part thereof. This case is a continuation in part of my application, Sr. No. D-74,32l, filed Jan. 15, 1938, for Design for Bottle.
Referring to the drawing:
Figure l is a front elevation of the bottle showing my new design; and
Fig. 2 is a side elevation thereof.
The characteristic features of my design reside in a bottle of the specific configuration and proportions shown having oppositely disposed diamond-shaped panels which substantially encircle the bottle, with the horizontal points of the diamonds coming substantially together on opposite sides of the bottle, and the upper vertical points of the panels extending substantially to the curved shoulder or chamfered portion of the bottle, the panels being each defined by a valley and encompassing bead and contrasting with the surrounding frosted or crackled body area of the bottle, said body being long and slender with a massive frosted base and a smooth frosted neck and being composed of a series of well defined, uniform, horizontally disposed, circumferentially arranged ribs or corrugations, and having a series of pairs of vertically disposed ribs overlying the horizontally disposed ribs or corrugations, the pairs being spaced symmetrically around the body of the bottle and extending from the topmost horizontal rib at the neck to the top of the base, the diamond-shaped panels and the vertically disposed pairs of ribs by reason of their size and prominence having the eiTect of dominating the entire bottle design.
I claim:
The ornamental design for a bottle, as shown and described.
ALBERT E. REPENNING.
