SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,710, dated March 18, 1890.

To all whom, it may concern:

Be it known that I, EDWIN G. RUTHVEN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, (assignor to DAVID \VOLFE BRUCE,) have invented a new and original Design for a Font of Printing'lype, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying typo- [0 graphic impressions, forming part thereof.

These typographic impressions are exact representations of the design, in which are comprised capital letters, punctuation-points, numerals, and the dollar and pound-sterling I 5 symbols, and its nature is fully shown therein.

The characteristic features of this design are the wide fields inclosed within a very light line toward the left and upper portions and a very heavy shade line toward the right EDWIN C. RUTI'IVEN. Witnesses:
