DESIGN FOR A PLOW-HOE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 16,345, dated October 20, 1885.
Application filed August 18, 1885. Serial No. 174,752. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Masons LAFAYETTE SAUNDERS, of Twenty third district, in the county of Thomas and State of Georgia, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pulverizing Plow-Hoe, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
Reference being had to the accompanying r0 drawings, forming part of this specification, Figure 1 is aplan view of my newly-designed pulverizing plow -hoe. Fig. 2 is a crosssection of the same, taken through the line a: m, Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a side elevation of the same;
and Fig. 4 is a sectional side elevation of the same, taken through the line y 3 Fig. 1, these four views being deemed necessary to fully illustrate my design.
The leading feature of my design consists in the rhomboidal-shaped plow-hoe having a flat angular cutting-edge, and being convexed transversely and concaved longitudinally.
A is the cutting-edge of the plow-hoe, which is angular, as shown in Fig. 1, and flat, asshown in Figs. 2, 3, and 4. The plow-hoe is convexed transversely, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3, and is concaved longitudinally, as shown in Figs. 3 and 4.
I claim- The design for a pulverizing plow-hoe herein shown and described, the same consisting of a rhomboidal-shaped plow-hoe having a fiat angular cutting-edge,and convexed transversely and concaved longitudinally, said flat cutting-edges upon both sides of the hoe be- 5 mg in the same horizontal plane.
