To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, W'ILLIAM HENRY \Vooo, a subject of the King of Great Britain, and residing at Maylands, near Perth, State of Western Australia, Commonwealth of Australia, have invented new and useful Improvements in Antinicotin Tobacco-Pipes, of which the following is a specification.

The object of this invention is to provide a tobacco pipe whose construction provides means whereby the nicotin or other injurious matter is caught and trapped and so prevented from entering the mouth of the smoker; furthermore the pipe is thereby maintained in a pure state so insuring a cool and sweet smoke.

My improved pipe comprises an intercepter chamber for entrapping the nicotin, said chamber being furnished at each end with removable plugs in order to permit of the chamber being blown or scoured clean in a through and through manner.

The pipe further comprises a false or removable bowl which is held in the outer or bowl proper of the pipe said removable bowl being made of wood and used by way of a refill while the pipe except the mouth piece is preferably constructed of aluminium.

These features of construction will now be explained by the aid of the attached drawings in which- Figure 1 gives a longitudinal section of the pipe, Fig. 2 being a vertical section on line 00, 00. Fig. 3 is a longitudinal sectional view of the hollow plug employed.

In these drawings a is the false or removable bowl which is held by its rim or over lap flange 6 within the outer bowl 0 of the pipe the latter bowl being made integral with the stem (Z as shown. This false bowl has the duct or teat e which communicates with the nicotin intercepting chamber placed preferably as shown. This chamber is provided at its front end with the removable screw solid plug 9 and also at its front end with a similar but hollow plug Both these plugs screw into the nicotin chamber as shown. The hollow plug j is provided with a cap 70 having a vent m, said cap being partially rotatable on the plug and having the slot or cut out a for engagement with the fixed pin p of the plug. When it is desired to give the nicotin chamber a blow through and without removing either of the plugs g or y, the cap is given a slight down turn so bringing the vent m to its lowest point and thereby forming a free lead away for the ejected nicotin from its chamber and which ejection is c'llected by a blow through action made by the smokers mouth. A reverse turn of the cap brings the vent to the raised position so closing the lead away of the chamber 7''.

The chamber 7' may be cleaned out by the removal of both the screw plugs g and j or by the vent m as above described.

lVhat I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:

1. A tobacco pipe provided with a nicotin intercepting chamber having a plug fitted in one end thereof, said plug being provided with a rotatable cap formed with an ejecting vent for the nicotin.

2. A tobacco pipe provided with a nicotin intercepting chamber having a plug removably fitted in each end thereof, one of said plugs being provided with a rotatable cap formed with an ejecting vent for the nicotin.

3. A tobacco pipe provided with a nicetin intercepting chamber having a plug itted in one end thereof, said plug being provided with an ejecting vent and a rotatable cap having a notch formed therein, and means provided upon said plug and extendin into said notch for limiting the rotation of said cap.

4. A tobacco pipe provided with a nicotin intercepting chamber having a plug fitted in one end thereof, said plug being provided with a rotatable cap having a vent formed therein, and means provided upon said plug for limiting the rotation of said cap.
