In the accompanying drawing like char actors of reference describe like. parts throughout the several views, and Figure 1 is a side elevation of a razor ready for use. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section through the razor when arranged ready for the pocket. Fig. 3 is a transverse section through the blade and guard of Fig. 1, and Fig. 4 is an exterior view of Fig. 2.
In the embodiment of the device herein illustrated the handle comprises a main ortion 10 whereon is fixedly mounted a b ock 11. The block 11 is trally disposed opening 12 wherein is swiveled the stem 12' of a uard or comb 13. The guard 13 is provide with a substantially centrally disposed openin 14. Upon the bar 17 is mounted a pin 18 arranged to register with the opening 14 of the guard 13.
At 19 is'shown a blade of proper form for use with this device. The blade 19 is provided with an opening 20 disposed to register with the opening 14 in the uard 13 and thus receive the pin 1.8. The lade 19 is further provided with a U-shaped recess at the end thereof as indicated at 21.
- This recess is arranged to fit the shoulders permit the provided with a new 17 will be at right angles to each other. The bar 17 will rest firmly on the blade and hold it securely in position. The resilient bar or sprin 17 also serves as a meansfor holding t e width of the nerd and blade at a ri ht an 1e to the wi th of the handle, as wil be c ear on reference to Fig. 1. When it is desired to remove the Patented Mar. 29, 191 0.
In order to rovide a handle for the device which wil give the necessary len h, and have the device capable of being de case 22 arranged to lie within the body part of the handle as at 10 and provided with an exteriorly extending portion as clearly shown in Fi 2. A cover for the guard is also provide as shown at 23 and this cover is so arranged that it may be fitted over the exterior portion of the blade case thus assumin the position indicated in Fi 1. said ar being provided with a pin and having a norma tendency to cause the enter said opening when the guard is in one pin toposition and to move out of said-.gpening In testimony that I claim the foregoing as when the guard is in a position et en angle vmy own,"I have hereto efixed my signature to the first-named position, and a blade hav in the presence of two witnesses.-
ing a recessed end adapted to fit beneath'the BENJAMIN CAMPBELL BASH. shoulders of the said lug and an open hg Witnesses:
disposed to register with the opening in the O. W. BASH,
