IMPROVED EXTENSION-TABLE SLIDE.

The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and rnalzing Ipart cf the same.

To all whom tt may concern Beit known that l, OTIs E. SANFORD, of La, Porte, in the county of La Porte, and 'State of Indiana, have invented a new and vuseful Improvement in Extensionlable Slide; and `I do hereby declare that the following is e full, clear, and exact description of the saine, reference being hadzto the annexed drawings, ina-king part of this specitictiou, in which- Figure l is a perspective View;

In the drawings- A A A are the extension' sections, which are constructed parallel to each other, and are held together by the curved mein slides B B and curved stop-slides C 0,'ivl1ich are made of metal, Iand are secured to the extension sections A A A by wooden pins, a c ay a., which pass through the half circles c, in the main slide B, end thehalf circles d, in the stop-slide C, and hold the same securely in their places; and the extension sections A A A are drawn out and in at pleasure, by

the main slides B B and stop-slides() C, playing along the double grooved doveteils b l1 b b, the metallic main slide B being constructed vso as to support and give strength to the extension sections A A A, which sections may be any number or length desired, and the' stop-slide C beingconstructed so as to prevent the` extension sections' from sliding past the proper places, the inside double grooved dovetails being filed at a. proper dist-ance, and prevent the slides from slipping Out- Of the double grooved dovetails.

The extension sections are nothing new, and on which I make no claim aside from the dovetails.

That I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The extension sections A A A, the inetallic main slides B B, stop-slides C C, secured byl and playing in the double grooved dovetails b b b I1, operating in' the manner and for the purpose herein shown and described, substantially: as set `forth.
