The object of the invention is to provide s simple, inexpensive and duriible fence con.- struction unich permits the fence to be set up and tal-:cn down expeditiously and lith little labor, which is capable of dillereut arrangements l'or dillferent purposes and which is sullicientlv strong to adapt it for the pur'- pose ol contining cattle or other ai'iiinals el larger size.

A further object of the invention is to provide a fence construction which. docs not ncccssitete the digging ol' post holes, as the posts :ti-e supported upon the surface oi the ground, which len-ves no dangerous or unsightly openings or depressions .iii the ground att-er being token down, und in which the fence wire isrliept in good condition and is in no way. injured from being put up or taken down.

Before proceeding to a more detailed eze planation of niy invention, it should be clearly understood that the fence construceo tion can be easily set up and token down, so that it can be nioved freni place to pince il it not desired to locate it perni uneiitly as is the case with ordinary fences.
