To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, LUDWIG SPADY, a citizen of the United States, residing at 415 Tillamook street, Portland, in the county of Multnomah and State of Oregon, have invented new and useful Improvements in Show-Cases, of which the following is a speciiication.

This invention has for its object to obtain a show case in which the door is fastened to a false floor in the bottom of thecase, and such floor is mounted on a sliding piece, so that the door may be simply pulled out of the end of the case and therewith the floor of the case and the supporting racks will be pulled out clear of the confines of the walls of the case so that access to all parts of the case is afforded without interference. And my invention further has for its object to obtain the result mentioned by a simple, inexpensive, and durable means.

In the drawings :Figure 1, is a perspective view of a show case embodying my improvement. Fig. 2, is a perspective detail illustrating how the movable parts slide one over the other in the act of opening and closing my show case, and, Figs. 3, and 4, are details of construction more fully described in the body of this specification.

The case (it, comprises a bottom a, sides I), and I); end piece 0, and a roof or top d. The front of the case is open and is closed by a door 6, which is fixed in vertical position on the slidable false floor f, which is fastened to a sliding piece g. On the sides of the latter are fastened slotted plates h, through which extend rollers 'i, t, which extend also through slots in the side pieces j, of a carriage j, which is slidably supported on slotted rails is, 7r, fastened on the bottom a of the case. The rollers i, i, on either side are yoked together by bars Z, having a groove on the bottom so as to be adapted to slide on the tread or upper edge of the rails 7c, 7s. The bars Z, hold the rollers i, t, against being moved out of proper working alinement. The carriage has on the bottom of its sides j, pendent slotted portions j A roller m, is inserted through the slots k in the rails lc, 7c, and are mounted in the front. A roller a, is inserted through the slots of said portions 7' of the carriage j, and through the slots 70 of the rails k, k. This roller n, is always secured at its end in the bars 0.

The rollers m, a, are therefore yoked together at their extremities by the bars 0, so as to make them move in unison and hold the same in proper working alinement. The working of the parts in the pulling out and shoving in of the door and therewith the false floorf, is illustrated in Fig. 2.

Obviously, the roller m, receives the bearing strain, and the roller n the lifting strain of the carriage y" What I claim is:

1. The combination with an inclosing case having an open front, of slotted rails fastened to the bottom of the case, a carriage having slotted sides made with downwardly projecting horizontally slotted rear portions, a roller extending through the slots in the rails in front of said rear portions of the carriage, a roller extending through the slots of said rear portions of the carriage and of the rails, bars yoking the ends of said rollers together a sliding piece mounted on the carriage and the sides of the carriage also being provided with slots, rollers extending through the slots of the sliding piece and of the carriage, bars yoking the ends of the last mentioned rollers together, and a false floor and door mounted on said sliding piece.

2. The combination with an inclosing case having an open front, of slotted rails fastened to the bottom of the case, a carriage having two sets of slots, a roller extending through one set of slots in the carriage, and the slots in the rails, a roller passing through other slots formed in the rails, means for yoking said rollers together, a slide having slots and mounted on the carriage through the second set of slots in the carriage, and the slots in the slide, a roller passing through the forward ends of the carriage under the slide, and means for yoking the two last mentioned rollers together.

3. The combination with an inclosing case,

having an open front, of slotted rails fastened gether, said bars operating on the ends of the to the bottom of the case, a slide, a door and rails and a slidable connection between the 10 false floor mounted 011 the slide, a carriage carriage and the rails. intermediate the slide and the rails and movable on the latter, a roller extending through slots formed in the carriage and the slide, a Witnesses:
