- stoves which are construotod imd arranged to rndiute hoot, and to distrihule heated air into a room or apartment.
The. object of this invention is to provide it gas stove with no huge as. radiating surface as possible and so oonslrm-ied its to (XiI'zU'l the greatest ossible nninlwr ol hrul unitsfrom a cubic oot of ms.
A furl-her object o the invontion is to ohtain a complete circulation of air and instun taneous heating and distrilmtion of houiod air, and to provide for the host uuilnhle discharge of hosted air into {1 room.
These objeqts are nci-oinplishei stove, constructed and arranged as herein-- after set forth and. claimed,
Referring to the aceompn nyi ogd rmrings this invention consists of o. suit-Milo base 1,
provided with opomngs 2, for the ndmission' of cold air a tire box 2 having tapering or inclined sit es; a conical radiator 3, mounted in the lire box 2, and having is, depending iunnol 4, projecting down into the base 1, for the passage of cold air; and a heat rudiot ing drum 5 mounted on the radiator 3, and having a conical heat radiating bottom 6, depending ubovo the radiator 3, and forming therewith an inclined or tapering air chamber. The to of the radiator 13, which consists of an ine ined annular strip 25' connected to the drum 5 and facing n words is pro vided with o ienings 7 for tie discharge of heated air. he lire box- 2 connnunicutos with the hot air drum 5, b moans ol' short tubes 8, mounted in tho iottoin 6 ol' the drum and in tho rudiator. The d um 5 is provided with no outlot pipe ii for tho dis charge of fumes from the [ire lmX. A rirooliu' bumer l0 ia mounted on hrurlwls H, on
the llaLSfl l, und onrireloa the funnel 4 nl lls l by a gas 'huvin air outlet 0 lQl'lill s and air upper ond 'llle lire box is: proridod with 0. door 12. In the top ol tho drum 5 i5 505 pended n moisture vessel 1?, rolli'oo od by" perl'orolrd cover 14. r
The operation of the slow is H follows: (fold nir enters the inlet opr-ninggs 2, passes up the funnel 4, up the [opt-ring ohnlnher', between the bottom of drum 5, And the radiulor ii and out through the outlet openings 7. Air entering through the lire box is limited. and passing up through the sumo, passes through tho short lubrs 8, into the drum .3. in tho passage of the cold air up the tiiporing clmmher lu-twuon the heat ritldiuting bottom 6 oltho drum and the radiator 3, it becomes iustnrnlly hoot-0d, and passing out through the openings 7, heated air is thereby discharged into the room or npurtnient. By having the openings 7 6\-l'-- ranged us described, the houtod oilwill he admitted to tho room at points best suited to the ronll'ort of persons seated or standing near thoslove. It will ho soon that with the heat rndiulin; su'rlueeo of the drum, the fit dintor, and the lire box, [LS largo a hoot rat-- diui-ing surl'ueo as possible provided.
ll'nviug described the illVOlltiOll, we claim:
