To all whom it may Concern:

Be it known that I, REUBEN B. BENJAMiN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented new and useful Improvements in Plural Lamp-Sockets, of which the following is a full, clear, concise, and exact description, reference being had t'o the acconipanying drawing, forming a part of this specification.

My invention relates to improvements in electric lamp clusters, and particularly to a plural lamp-socket provided with a plug adapted to be inserted into an ordinary socket or receptacle.

One of the objects of the invention is the provision of a device of this type which is made up of butfew parts, which is 4economical to manufacture, and which is, at the same time, eflcient and durable.

In the accompanying drawings Figure 1 is a central vertical sectional view of a device v embodyingr my invention; and Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the same', the section being taken on the line 2 2 of Fig. 1, looking in the direction indicated by the arrows.

In these-figures, in which like reference numerals indicate the same parts throughout, 5 is a base formed of porcelain or other suitable insulating material. This base 5 is provided with .a plug 6, having thereon an outer Contact member 7, this outer contact member preferably consisting of a threaded shell adapted to be sleeved onto the plug 6. Havingthus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is :v

1. In a plug-cluster, the combination of a base having a plug upon one of its sides and a contact plate upon its opposite side, center and outer contacts upon said plug, electrical connection between said center contact and said plate, a bowl-shaped shell mounted upon said base, a plurality of circularly arranged lamp-holders and an axially disposed lampholder carried by said shell, and electrical connection between the outer contact of the plug and said shell.

In a'plug-cluster, the combination with a base having a plug on one of its sides, o't' a threaded shell mounted upon the plug to form the outer contact thereof', a plate mounted on the inner side of said base, a center contact upon the plug electrically connected with said plate, a circular shell mountf ed `upon the inner side of said base and hav-y ing a plurality of openings, one of said openings being in axial alinement with said plug, a threaded lamp-receiving shellin each of said openings, and electrical connection between the outer contact member of the plug and said circular shell.

3. In a plug-cluster, the combination with a plug having a center contact and an outer contact adapted to coperate with the contacts of asuitable receptacle, of a plurality of lamp-holding devices carried by said plug, one ot said lamp-holding devices being disposed in axial alinement with said plug, ampterminal-contacting devices assoclated with said lamp-holding devices, and electrical connection vbetween the contacts of the plug and'said contacting devices. g

4. In a plug-cluster, the combination with a plug having a center contact and an outer contact adapted to coperate with the contact of a suitable receptacle, of a lamp-holding device carried by and dis osed in axial alinement with said plug, a purality of cirarranged eularly arranged lamp-.holding devices carried by said plug, lamp-terminal-contacting devices associated with said lamp-holding devices, and electrical connection between the contacts of said plug and said contacting devices.

5. In a plug-cluster, the combination with a plug having a center contact and an outer contact adapted to cooperate with the contacts of' a suitable receptacle, of a circular shell carried by said )lug and supporting a plurality' ot lauw-holding devices, said shell being elect rically connected with one of the contacts ol the plug, and means for conducting current trom the other contact ot said.l plug to the center terminals o'tl all the lamps, one of said lamp-holding devices being disposed in axial alinement with said plug.`

In a plug-cluster, a plug having a threaded shell sleeved thereon to constitute an outer contact for said plug., means carried by said plug providing a center contact for a plurality ot lamps, a bowl-shaped member adapted to support a plurality ot circular-ly lamps and au axially disposed lamp and to conduct current to the outer contacts of the, lamps, and a bolt extending through said plug and shell to the plug and providing electrical con nection between said plug and said bow shaped member.

7. In a plug-cluster, the combination-of a plug, a bowl-shaped shell carried by said lug 'tor supporting a plurality ot lamps, a
