Be it known that I, CORNELIUS D. MoGIE- HAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Jersey City, in the county of Hudson and tion 4, and two side or wing sectlons 5 and 6,

State of New Jersey, have invented new and useful Im rovements in Combination-Mirrors, ofwh1ch the following is a specification.

'My invention relates to folding mirrors and supports therefor, and more particularly to that class of folding mirrors which is adapted to enable the user to see all parts of the head and face at the same time.

One obj eot of my invention is to provide a.

mirror of this character which can be adjusted to any desired position, and which may be arranged for use either as a triplicate or quadruplex mirror, .the fourth or upper sectlon being readily detachable- Another object of my invention is to provide a suitable support for such mirror, and to so combine the whole as to obtain an arrangement whereby the mirror may be suppprted on a chair, mantle, or other piece of rniture. the'invention consists in the combination of a main, or central mirror, a wing mirror hinged to each side thereof, and aseparate and detachable to mirror, arranged above the main mirror, ail of the mirrors being carried by a supporting standard, terminating either in a suitable tripod, or, in a clamp, hereinafter described.

.-The invention alsoconsists in certain details of arrangement, as will first be fully described, and then specifically pointed out in I the ap ended'claims.

In escribing my invention reference will be made to j the accompanying drawings forming part of this specification, and in which- I ,Figure 1 is a-perspective view showing my improved mirror in use. The main section may be adjustably secured to the rod 1, as by collar and set screw 11. Secured to the top section 7 by means of a hinge 10 is a metal strap 8, as clearly shown in Fig. 4. This strap 8 is provided, near its end, with a longitudinal slot adapted to embracea thumb screw 9 taking into the upper end ofrod 1.

The lower edge of section 7 simply rests upon the upper ed e of section 4. By this construction it wi be seen that the section 7 can be adjusted to any desired angle, or may be readily and entirely removed. It will often be found convenient to remove this top section, and usethe remaining sections as a triplicate mirror.

It will thus be seen that I have provided a folding mirror structure which lends itself readily to all conditions of service, is light and compact when folded, and at the same time sim le and'inexpensive.
