Be it knownthat I, WILLARD JONES, a citizen of the United States, residing at Au- 1 burn, in the county of Androscoggin and State of Maine, have invented a new and useful Combination-Tool, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates generally to combiand more particularly to one i adapted to be carried, conveniently, in the poo at of the owner.

The object of the invention is to provide a combination tool which shall embody in a compact attractive form, a key ring, a screwdriver, a bottle cap remover, a cigar cutter,

a cork screw, and bottle wire remover, all the parts being'so c'onstructed and disposed relatively to eachother that in the use of one there will be no interference with or by the others.

'With the above and other objects in View as will appear as the nature of the invention is better understood, the same consists in the novel construction and combination of parts of a combination tool, as will be hereinafter fully described and claimed.

In the accompanying drawings forming a part of this specification and in which like characters of reference indicate correspond ing parts, Figure l is a view in perspective of ance with the present invention, showing the position that the cork screw will occupy in use. Fig. 2' is a view in side elevation. Fig. 3 is a view in vertical longitudinal section, taken on the line 3-3 of Fig. 2, and looking in the direction of the arrow thereon. Fig. 4 is a transverse sectional view, taken on the line Jr-" l of Fig. 2, and looking-in the direction of the arrow thereon.

The implement embodies a stock or han- (he 1 with which all of the operative parts are combined. The stock is preferably con structcd of a strip of resilient metal and is provided at one end with an :1 onular head 2 that is cleft at 3 to provide a key ring. At the other end of the stock is formed a hookshaped extension 4 that constitutes a bottle wire remover, a portion of the outer edge of which is beveled at 5 to form a screwdriver. bent to provide a bottle cap remover 10 which. also constitutes the means. for operating the cutter. Each of the flanges is provided with a lug 11 and- 12, the two lugs being disposed in transverse alinement and be ing adapted to operate as stops to limit the outward movement of the combined cigar cutter and bottle cap remover. Pivotally connected with the stock at a point between the key ring and the flanges is a cork screw 14, of the usual or any preferred construction, the attachment of which with the cork screw at right angles to its length at 15, andprojecting the arm thus formed through an orifice in the stock provided for it, the end of the arm being upset, as at 16, to prevent its disconnection from the stock.

In order to hold the cork screw at right angles to the length of the stoiik and in position to operate upon a cork, the flange 7 is provided with an extension 17 under which the shank of the cork screw will pass, as shown in Fig; 1, a seat 18 being formed in the extension for the purpose of holding the cork screw against movement.

The normal position of the corkscrew will of the stock, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3., and in order to'protect the pocket of the wearer from damage by the former, a cap 19 is provided within which the cork screw will fit, as clearly shown in Fig. 3.

The extension or keeper 17 is of peculiar advantage and utilit ,inasmuch as by merely swinging the cork screw to one side it will be retained in operative position and thereby obviate the necessity of employing spring latcies or the like, such as are commonly use The tool herein described will be found highly 'efficient and durable in use, and will in a compact space provide a plurality of implements all of which will be found at times of service. 7 v

What is claimed is 2'- 1. A combination tool embodying a stock having longitudinal guides one of which is extended to provide a keeper, a cigar cutter engaging the guidesandhaving a curved eX-' tension constituting a means foroperating the cutter and also a. bottle ca remover, and a cork-screw having a pivota connection with the stock and being adapted to engage with the keeper to hold it at light angles to the length of the stock.

A combination tool embodying a stock provided with an orifice and with longitudinal guides, and a cigar cutter engaging the guides and having a curved extension constituting a means for operating the cutter and also a bottle cap remover, the cutter being adapted to coact with the orificein severing the tips of cigars. A c'ombination tool embodying a stock provided with an orifice and with longitudinal guides, a cigar cutter engaging the guides and having a curved extension constituting a means for operating the cutter and also a bottle cap remover, the cutter being adapted to coact with the orifice in severing the tips of cigars, and stops carried by the guides to, limit the movement of the cutter in one direction.

4. A combination tool embodying a stock provided with an orifice, and with longitudinal guides one of which is extended to provide a kee er, a cigar cutter enga ing the guides an coacting with the orifice and having a curved extension constituting a means for operating the cutter and also a bottle ca remover, stops carried by the guides to imit the movement of the cutter in one direction, and a cork-screw having a pivotal connection with the stock and being adapted to engage with the kee er to hold it at right angles to the len th of t e stock.

5. A combination too comprising a stock provided with longitudinal guides, one of adapted to engage the keeper.

6. A combination tool comprising a stock provided with longitudinal guides, one of which extends beyond the other to form a keeper and is provided with a seat, a bottle cap remover held in place by the guides, and a cork screw pivotally connected to the stock and adapted to engage the seat thus to be F held at right angles to the length of the stock when in use.
