IMPROVED SYRING-E.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same To all whom it mwy concern l Be it known that I, C. W. BUFroX; of Vinton, in the county of Benton, -uid State of Iowa, have invented certain new sind useful V Improvements in Syringes; and l do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and' exnetdeseription thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, nud to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form e part of this specification, and in which- Figure 1 represents :t vertical centre section, lund Figure 2, a side elevation oi`,my syringe. l
The object of my invention is to provide u suitable means for injection; and, to this end,
My invention consists in the employment of :t syringe in which the bulb und tube are constructed in one piece, substantially in the manner hereinafter:-described.
To enable others skilledin the art to which my invention npperta-ins, to make und usel the suine, I will proceed to descn'be its construction and operation.
In the accompanying drawings- Y A represents my rubber syringe, which is constructed in one piece, und consists of the bulb B and the tube C, with periblntions at its upper end, a.
The tube O has a shoulder, a', made on its lower end, between 'which lend the bulb B is formed a recepta-cle for holding the sponge b', which is used 'for the purpose of catching the west-e fluid.
u, the upper end ofthe tube C, being inserted in uid, you squeeze the bulb B, which exhausts the air, and, when the hand is removed, the ud rises in the bulb B, and then, by applying the tube C to the desired parts, the contents oi' the bulb -B are injected'by again squeezing the bulb B, md so on, by repeating the seme' operation, until sucient injection has been made.
Having thus fully described my invention,
Whitt I claim as new, and desire to secure by Let ters Patent, is-
Thesyringe A, with its tube and bulb, constructed in `one piece, and supplied with a. sponge, substantially in the mannerI und for the purpose set forth.
