l citizen of the United States, residingat the cit and county of Deliver and State of Colora o, lhave invented certain new and useful Improvements in Wall-Molds; and l do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it aprtains to make and use the same, reference ving had to the accompanying drawings,
and to the letters and gures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
'My invention relates to improvements in wall molds consisting of a device whereby a lwall may be formed 1n place without the necessity of constructing 1t of pieces or blocks. p4 My improved device makes it practicable to com lete a wall as a ycontinuous structure, the mod being 'clamped to the wall and movable both vvertically and horizontally. Having brieil outlined my improved construction as wel as the function it is intended to perform, I will proceed to describe -the same in detail reference being made to the accompanying drawing -in which is illustrated 4anen nibodiment thereof.

Let 5 5 designate the members of my improved mold; These members may be forinedof any suitable material as wood. 05 They consist of sides 6 6 connected in any suitable manner and provided with interior walls 7. At each extremity of each side 6, is located a post 8. To the top of each ost S is attached a nut 9 in which is thrcadedpa shaft 7o or rod 10 provided with right and left threads engaging the nuts 9. In the center of the shaft 10 is located a hand wheel 12 for manipulatin the shaft. Each post is also provided wit an additional nut 13 secured both 7 5 to the post 8 and the top of the sides 6 by means of suitable bolts. are also threaded screw shafts 14 provided with right and left threads engaging the respective nuts 13. The shaft 14 is also pro- 8o vided with a hand wheel 15. The shafts 1() and 14 and their hand wheels are substantially identical but they are given different reference characters for convenience of description. The .posts 8 at each end of the 85 structure are substantially the same and are connected in the same manner. The screw shafts 10 and 1.4 at cach end of the device, forni means for clamping the mold members to thc wall and also means for loosening the 9o clamped members when it is desired tomove the mold from one position to another. Each' side 6 ol the mold as shown in the drawing is braced by tie rods 16.
The construction of the core used in con- 9'5 nection with the mold for forming recesses in the wall at suitable intervals will now be described. '.lhis core may be designated in its entirety by the numeral 17. As shown'in' the drawing it consists of two members hav'- Aros ing side walls 1S and overlapping ends 19. 'l Each of these walls is provided at the top with two ears or metal projections '20 in which are threaded screws 21 provided -with right and left threads at their opposite ex# ro5 tremities. npart of the two members 17 and on the inside is located a spacing plate 23 which is hinged to one of the sides as shown at 24.7. Its extremity remote from the hinge 2e is pivotaily connected with a vertically siidable rod 2G engaging eyes 37 formed on the inside of the opposite side member 1S. This rod 2 passes through a metal part 28 at the top of the side member. lTo the upper extremity of this rod which is threaded for the pur pose is applied a thumb nut 29 to facilitate vertical adjustment. From this description it will be seen that ythere are two screws '2l located at the top of the core for purposes of adjustment, while the spacing plate 23 is centrally located between the screws, and at the lower part of the device on the inside. By means of the serei'vs and thespacing plate, the sides of the core may be so adjusted that they are parallel with each other.
From the foregoing and operation oi my improved device 'will be readily understood. Assuming that a base designated 30 in Fig. being oi somewhat greater thickness than the thickness oi' the wall proper, the members oiE my improved meid may be placed thereon and regulated so that the space between the sides shall correspond with the thickness of the wall. The core is then placed in position between the sides, after which 'the material of which the Wall is to be composed, is introduced until the space between the sides of the mold and surrounding the core i7 is iilled.
