IMPROVEMENT IN PIN-CUSHIONS.

Be it known that I, Lnwrs J. Afrwoon, of W atten bury, in the county of New Hz ven, 'and State of Councoticnt, have invented, made, and applied to usc, n certnin new und useful Improvement in Pin-Cushions; :ind I do hereby declare the following to be n full, clean', and exact description of the seid invention, reference being 11nd to the annexed drawing, makingl part of thisV specification, wherein- Figure l is :t side view of sziid cushion, und

In the drawing, a al are sheet-metal disks, stamped up with concave or ring-shaped grooves around said disks, near their edges, so that a circuler opening shall be left around between the disks when they are set together, ns at b b, fig. 2, :tud into this a. coil of brous materiel, or a. ring of: felt, or similar material, d, is luid and securely confined.

The two disks are secured together by an cyelet, rivet, or similar fastening. I have shown a rivet, c.

Through the ring cl the pins are stuck, the bodyparts passing down between the disks a a, and if the pins are too long to go in straight, they can be stuck slightly inclined, so as to pass atthe side ofthe rivet c.

The surihce of the disk or disks is formed with names, numbers, or other devices, to indicate the bus'mcss, address, or nume, that it is vdesired to advertise or make known by means of the distribution of such cushions.

W'hut I claim, and desireto secure by Letters Putent ispin-cushion, formed of :t ring o1" disk of Vfibrous materia-l, confined between two metallic plates that are connected together by rivets or other metallic connections, es set forth.
