Be'it known that I, WILLIAM G. MARE; a
siding atSpringfield, in the county of Hampgien and Commonwealth of Massachusetts,
have invented certain. new and useful 1111- rovements in Sectional Rims, of which the fbllowing is a specification.
My invention relates to improvements in rims for wheels for automobiles, 'cars, motorcycles, and vehicles, and comprises a secfor holding them in place tionalrim made in a suitable number of sections each attached in the center to the telly by certain resilient means and braced at the ends by ade uate supports, "all as hereinafter set'torth; an the objects of my invention are, first, to provide a sectional and detachable rim; second, to provide suitable means for connecting each rim section and the telly and third, to increase the resiliency of said rim. I attain these objects by the means illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure -1 shows said device in position on a section otthe rim of a wheel, and Fig. 2 a cross-section of the rim at line at m.

.As betore intimated, my rim is made up of a considerable number of sections. These sections are detachably held in place and to the telly upon which said rim is mounted by means of a plurality of pistons, cylinders, springs, nuts, or heads and supports or their equivalents. A detailed description of these parts nnl be found below.
My rim is divided into sections a a, each having at the center of its concave side a pin,
