To all whom it may concern:

Be it known thatI, JASPER L. DODGE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Providence, in the county of Providence and State of Rhode Island, have invented a new and'useful Improvement in Beds, of which the following is a specification.

This invention has reference to an improvement in beds, and more particularly to an improvement in means for detachably securing the bed-bottom to the frame of thebed.

The object of my invention is to improve the construction of beds or bedsteads whereby the elastic bottom of the bed may be quickly secured to the bed-frame under tension and readily detached from the bedframe, when it may be rolled up for carrying with details of construction, as will be more fully set forth hereinafter.

It is evident that the bed-bottom proper may be constructed of any elastic fabric such as wire slprings, canvas, or webbingandsecured to t e end bars e 0 without materially affecting the spirit of my invention.

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent In combination with the side rails of a bed, a bracket secured adjacent each end of each rail and each embodying a hook-shaped upper end with an aperture disposed to the rear of'said upper end and below the same, an
