Be it known that I, JOHN WFVA'UGI'IN, a citizen of the United States, residing at N oroton Heights, county of- .liairlield, State of Connecticut, ,have'inv-ented certain new and useful Improvements in Acetylene-Genera tors, of which the following is a specification. The object of my invention isto provide a new and improved acetylne-gas generator which is,especially adapted for generatingacetylene gas which is to be used in aimotor for driving a vehicle of any kindfor example, an automobile or a boat-which generator is simple in construction, effective in use, is controlled by the motor, and has numerous other advantages which. will vbe pointed out in this Specification.

This thinner disk is arran ed eccentrically to the disk' H and is provided with a central aperture loosely containing an eccentric disk b, which is fixed onthe sleeve G and rests on a top plate f, u on which the plate it rests. Having described my invention, what I and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. In an acetylene-generator, the combination with a \vatera'eeeptaele and a earbid-reeeptaele, of earbid-erushing means beneath the earhid rereptaele, a carbid feeding device, and means for operating the earbidcrushing devices and feeding devices from a common shaft, substantially as set forth.
2. In an aretylene-generator, the combination with a water-receptacle and a carbid-reeeptaele, of earbid-erushing means beneath the. reeeptaele, a earbid-feedin device, and means for operating the carbirf crushing deviees and feeding shaft. and
