p' It' will of course be evident that whenqthe tool is being vused in. the inverted position` from that shown in Fig. 1 the oil contained in reservoir 10' will readilyfeed through the lport 12 to lubricatethe bearing 14, and in practice I have found that when used in posi-.- tion as shown in Fig. 1 this bearing is alwaysV iubricated, as a suiiieient quantity of the compressed air always escapes, which in its attempt to find exit passes in around the lower end ofv shaft 11,` whereby to elevate the oil and force the same up the passage v12.
I desire to Call'partiCular attention to the manner in which the motive liuid is projected into the cylinder and into engagement with the varies orblades of the piston or powerwheel. This air striking these blades or vanes in the manner as will be observed by reference to Fig. Qexerts the fullest possible ex- -tent of its pojver thereon, whereby to impart an exceedingly great revolution vof the powerwheel or piston and derive the greatest possible ecie'ncy from the same. Through the medium of the intermediate gearing the drillchuck is geared down, whereby the drill will be driven at a rate of speed consistent with 'that required for thisclass of work. v p In order that the device can be conveniently handled,lI provide a side handle 42, as well as 'the' handles employed on the feed device.
