vIMPROVEMENT IN ADVERTISING DEVICES.
Specication forming part of yLetters Patent No. 78,923, dated June 16, 1868.
To all 'whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY H. BRowNE, of Mount Vernon, in the county ot Westchester, in the State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvem entin Pocket-MirrorBusiness-Cards; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in the to make and use the same, reference being had tothe accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, in which drawings- Figure l represents that side of the card on which is placed the mirror. Fig. 2 represents the obverse side, on which is placed a business designation or other information. Fig. 3 is a cross-section of the card.

This invention consists in the combination of a business or advertising card with a mirror, the former being placed on or at the back of the mirror, and being either in one piece rimmed over the edge of the mirroror connected therewith (if separate from the back of the mirror) by a metallic or other suitable rim, substantially as herein described. I combine therewith also a pin-cushion.
The letter a, Fig. l, designates a mirror, which may be of glass or other material; and the letter b designates a business or advertising card formed on or at the back of the mirror, the two being connected or held together by means of a rim, c, turned down over the edges of the combined card and mirror, so as to hold them together when they are made of independent pieces setback to back, as in Figs. l, 2, and 3.

Another feature of my invention consists in combining with the mirror or the card a pincushion or pin-holder formed in the rim c, which I perforate to receive pins d, as shown in the drawings, the perforations being more or less in 'number and confined to one side or made all around the rim, as may be preferred by the maker.
What I claim as new, and desire to secureby Letters Patent, is
A new article of manufacture, the device herein described, the same consisting of the business-card b and the mirror a, which are retained together by the rim c, whose periphery is perforated, and the parts thereby formi a combined businesscard, mirror, and pin-cushion, substantially as specified. y
