Be it known that I, JOHN M. BLEssING, of Jeiersonville,Fayette county, and State of Ohio, have invented a certain new and useful'Impr'ovement inCorn-Rlanters; and doherebydeclare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being-had to lthe accompanying drawings, making part of this specification. I
My invention relates to a certain improvement in the construction of the seed-delivery mechanism of a 'corne planter, whereby I 'diminish its liability to clog or work unoertainly.
Figure' 1 is a vertical section of my seed-delivering apparatus in the line xx.

The throat A, and hed or bottom plate B of the hopper are, in my improvement, cast in two parts, held suitably distant by means of bosses C, andv secured to each other andto the frame D bymeans of screws or bolts AE. External lugs F, upon the throat A, are hollowedon their under sides, to receive rollers Gr G', and similar lugs H H', upon the bed-plate B, -aiordjournal-bearings to rollers I I', immediately underneath the rollers G G. I claim herein as new and of my invention- The arrangement. of a reciprocating feed-bar, J, having the boss j, in combination with Athe rollers I I G G', and openings h, as and for the purposes set forth.
