To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HOLLIS F. BUROHFIELD, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Guilford, in the county of Winnebago and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Safety- Oases for Lanterns, of which the following is a specification.

Its further object is to provide a means for warming sleighs and other vehicles in winter by setting a lantern in the case therein under the lap-robes thereof.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification, Figure 1 is an isometrical detail view of a safetycase embodying my invention. Fig. 2 is a central vertical section of the same.
Like letters of reference indicate corresponding parts throughout both views.
A is the body portion of my invention, which is preferably cylindrical inform and is closed at its lower end by means of a bottom B, fast thereto, and has a fenestral opening O in the side thereof, protected by means of curved fender-bars secured thereover, and has acarrying-bail E, pivoted to ears F, fast to the part A, and is provided with a cover G, having a layer of asbestos H on the upper side thereof. I
