IMPROVEMENT IN PERPETUAL CALENDARS.

Be it known that I, CHARLES T. PooLEIt, of Deansviile, in the county of Oneida, and State of New York, have invented a new and improved Perpetual Calendar; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full,- clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference boing had to the accompanying drawings, formingnpart of this specification, in which- Figure 1 represents a front elevation of my improved perpetual calendar.`

This invention relates to 'a new calendar, which is so Aarranged that it can lle used continually to record .the days of the week or month, and that the' days of the week can b e set over the gures of each lnontlrin such a manner that the device is applicable for each year.
The invention consists chiey in the combinationof an endless or other band wound around two vertical rollers, so as to cover partly another band woundI around horizontal rollers.
On the former band are marked Athe names of the days ofv the week, and ou the latter band the names of the successive months, and the rows of figures pertaining thereto..
At the'eommencement of each year the week-band is moved so as tof bringV the required day of the week over the figure I ofthe month-row, and thusthe week-baud isset for'thewhole year, 'except in some years',
when it will have to be adjusted again to the' 1st day of March, whilethe ino'in'thhandhas to he set every months.
