This invention relates to a hose-supporter which is suspended from the waist of the user.

The object of the invention is to provide an y effective supporter which may be very quickly applied and removed and which will also serve somewhat the purpose of an abdominal pad.

This specification is an exact description of one example of my invention, while the claims define the actual scope thereof.

Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, in which similar characters of reference indicate corresponding parts in both views.

Figure l is a view of the device, showing it extended; and Fig. 2 is a view showing the garment-supporter in operative position.

a indicates the clasps, which are adapted to be engaged with the hose, and b the suspender-ends which support them. These suspender-ends b are connected to straps c, which extend upward and carry at their upper ends links d, which are fitted to slide loosely on the strap e, forming the main part of the supporter. This strap e is provided at each end with an eye e and with two buttons e2 adjacent to its middle, these buttons being equal distances from the respective ends of the strap.

In using the invention the middle portion of the strap'e is placed at the waist at the back of the person, and the end portions are brought forward and crossed, as shown in Fig. 2, forming loops (indicated at e3) over which the eyes e are engaged with the respective buttons e2 in the manner shown in Fig. 2. The loops e3 then serve as hangers or supports for the straps o, with their attached parts a and b.

It will be observed that this device may be applied very readily and that when once in place it will securely support the garment.

Also the ends of the strap crossing each other in front of the person will lie over the abdomen and serve the purpose of the usual pad.

Various changes in the form and details of my invention may be resorted to at will without departing from the spirit of my invention. Hence I consider myself entitled to all forms of the invention as may lie within the intent of my claims.

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patentl. Agarment-supportercomprisingastrap, the middle portion of which is adapted to bear against the waist of the wearer, the end portions of said strap-being looped and the inner sides of said loops being formed by the ends of the strap, said ends being extended across each other respectively to the opposite ends of said middle portion of the strap, means for fastening the ends of the strap to the ends of said middle portion, and a means hung from each of said loops and adapted to engage the garment to be supported.

Agarment-supportercomprisingastrap, the middle portion of which is adapted to bear against the waist of the wearer, the end portions of said strap being looped and the inner sides of said loop being formed by the ends of the strap, a button attached to each end of the said middle portion of the strap, said ends of the strap being extended across each other respectively to the opposite ends of said middle portion of the strap, an eye attached to each end of the strap, said eyes being engaged respectively with the buttons on the said middle portion of the strap, and a means hung from each loop and adapted to engage the garment to be supported.

3. A garmentsupporter, comprising a strap adapted to have its middle portion bear against the waist of the wearer, the ends of the strap being looped and extended across each other and attached to intermediate portions of the strap, and a means hung from each of said loops and adapted to engage the garment to be supported.
