TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that I, DAVID HARGAR, of Des Moines, in the county of Polk, and State of Iowa, have invented a new and usefulrImprovement in Furnaces; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, and in whichv Figure 1 represents a perspective view-of my invention attached to a furnace.
Figure 2 shows the construction of that part of the pipe which runs under the fire.

The invention is for the purpose of conducting air from a fan, or from any c'old-airregion, to a furnace or grate, and distributing it properly to the fire. V 1

My invention consists of the pipe A, running from a fan situated in any part of the building, however remote from the furnace, or even in a neighboring building. and extending under and across the fire'box, in the manner show-n in the drawing.
