Be it' known that I, WILLIAM R. WALLIS., of Alliance, in the county Sterk,A and lrn the State of Ohio, have invented certain new and nseful'improvements in Attaching Euwe-Gutters to Houses; and do hereby'declnre that the following is e full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being-,had to the accompanying drawings, and to theletters of reference marked thereon. u

the annexed drawings, inciting s .rt of lthis specification, A represents the eaves-trough, provided with the usuel beedB. C representen strap of metal which runs acrossethe top of lthe trough, with one end cnrved or bent around the bend. D represents a. metallic strapwhich is, riveted at a to the strap C, and bending around or over the bead, passes under the trough and is bent over' its edge on the other side, (side next to the` en.ve,) and this. end is caught between-the 'strap C `end. avplate, F represents a. thmb-screw which passes Athrough the 'plate E and through the stx-apc. This thumb-screw serves to press :ind bind the plo-te E and strep C together, securing the end of strap'D between them. H represents the hanger, one end of which isV properly secured upon the roof of Ythe building'wth nails or screws. -The lower end'. of this henger iscori-wi gated, as represented, and provided with two or niore slots which run crosswise of it: G-represent's a. metallic strap, one end of which is riveted to the strap Q It is bent at'right aliglesto said strap, as seen, and its'upper end, after jbeingpassed through the slots in the hanger H, is bent down so es' to suspend the trough in `the mennershow'n. By means of the strap G the trough 'may be secured clorser4 to or further from the cave, as the case may require. By lneans'of the thumb-screw F and plate E 'the end of strap D may be so confined as to narrow or widen the trough.

Having th-us fully described my' invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
