IMPROVD BOTTLE-STOPPER.

TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:. v

Be it known that I, HORACE S. CARLEY, of Cambridgeport, in the county of Middlesex, and State of Massachusetts, have invented n new and improved Bottle-Stopper; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the nrt to make and use the same,A reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, in whichl Figure 1 is a side View of the neck of a bottle with my improved stopper attachment.

The present invention consists, first, in securing the stopper to the neck of the bottle in such a manner that it can, when moved out of the neck, be swung o ut of line with the same without detaehing it from the bottle; and, second, in the combination with the holder for the stopper, arranged as above described, of a loop or clasp so hung to the bottle neck as to be swung over the stopper when in the bottle, and there securely and tightly hold it.

H, made of suitable size to it the bottle, this slide, with its arm, being of such shape as to allow the stopper to slide or move upward out of the bottle, when, by swinging it over to one side, it can be left clear of the mouth,

for filling or emptying the bottle of its contents. I, a loop or clasp, hung at Yeach end to collar C, so as to swing therein, and in such a position that it can be swung over and across the slide and arm, carrying the stopper when su-ch stopper` is in the bottle. i l
