STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 595,952, dated December 21, 18'97- Application filed August 8,1896. Serial No. 602,171. (No model.) Patented in Belgium April 27, 1896, No. 121,088, and in France .Tune 10,1896,N0.253,040. f
The drawing shows a stove, in central vertical section, embodying my invention.
The body of the stove is shown at A, having a re-pot C and a fuel-door B.
a is a door leading into the ash-pit.
f is the smoke-outlet.
The air for the draft is led intovthe stove by a draft-pipe F from the outer` air. This pipe extends through the ash-pit and opens into a box G. This box opens into the ashpit just below the grate, and the amount of air supplied is regulated by a plate g, extending vertically of the box G and adjusted by the screw g'. This allows more or less air to pass to the fireebox.
In combination with a stove, the box G beneath the nre-box thereof, the air-supply pipe communicating with said box, the plate movable in said box to regulate the passage of air therethrough, and the screw for operating said plate, substantially as described.
