To all. whom tmay concern Beit known that We, EDWARD ASHDOW-N and GEORGE W. GALPIN,0fHoiner,NeW York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements Fluids; and we d6 hereby declare that the following is a fnil, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, and to the letters of .reference marked thereon.
In the annexed drawing,makingpartof this specification, -A represents a metallictube,A which it is intended should be inserted into an opening or hole to bebored in the ground,

upper end of this tube is provided with a male screw, which ts into a female screw in the" cap-piece B.
. At the upper end of the fenmle screw, within i the cap-piece B, is a shoulder, against which the end of the tube A fits when it is screwed -up snuglyto its place.

To use thiswell an opening hole is made in the ground byaneans of the tube and auger represented in the drawing.' The end of the pointed socket D is placed in the hole thus lnade, and by striking u'pon the cap-piece the 4tube is ibrced'down to the required depth.
