My invention relates 130 boxes er canisters.
The object of my invention is to provide a box whioh is easily accessible when piled u p in tiers, one upon another, in any desired manner, provision being neeessary to seoure aecess to the front side of the box.
These boxes are designed primarily for the reoe'ption of any suitable g0ods er commodi- It would not be practicalto enumerate Within the limits of this specification anything 1ike a 1ist of goods f0r which this oanist(ar mey be used, as they won1d be t0o numerons to mention. F01 the purpose of illustration merely in the follo wing speeifioation, the eanister will be supposed 1:0 contain orackers.
With these objects in view theinvention con sists in the following construetion and combination of parts whioh will DOW be described in detail and the features of the novelty then Set forth and claimed.
Figure 1 represents a perspeetive view of the box embodying my invention and to whieh I have applied my improvements. Fig. 2 is a side view of a moditication thereof.
A represents a box, having top, bottom and three sides, the fourth side being open to receive a. tilting oanister box.
B represents the oracker receptacle of the canister box. It is provided with a, boctom and sides, the freut one O of whioh is mortised to reoeive a transparent; or glass s1ide which is removably inserted therein. The top of box B is open.
in Order that the canister B may be taken bodily out of the box A, when desired for eleaning, repairs and other purposes.
The sides 0f the canister B are curved to permit the tilting movement bhereof, while the back of the box is of such heighb -that it allows the box to tilt forward a eertain defined distance, when it aots as a soop 110 its fnrther movement by striking the top of the box A.
In Fig. 2 is shown in side elevation a modified form of box in whioh the casing A is open a1; both ends to reeeive two boxes B one hinged at each end by the hinges E. This eonstruotion, should I desire to use it-, presents a easing t0 whioh aooess may be had from both sides into separate boxes. I also eontemplate making the front C of the box B separable therefrom, so that I may swing the said freut ont upon the hinge E while the box itself remains within the box casing A. In such ease I provide sonne mode of attaohment; between the front and sides 0f the box B (such as ahook, shown in dotted lines in Fig. l) so that the entire box may swing 0ut upon the hinge E when desired.
I olaim, furthermore- Theeornbination of aoasing, a box contained therein hihged to the lower front edge of both casing and box, said box having a, separab1e front, whereby either said fronu or the entire box may be swung outwardly upon the hinge.
