.To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that 1, Gnoncn N. BOLLES, of Kalamazoo,-in the county of Kalamazoo and State of Michigan, haveinvented a new and Improved Clothes-Washing Machine; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will will enable those skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, in which Figure lis a vertical section of my invention, taken in'the linemavFig. 2; Fig.2, a plan or top view of thesanie, with the follower removed. This invention relates to a new and improved clothes-washing machine of that class in which an ordinary wash-tub is employed with a follower. The object of the invention is to obtain a washingmachine of the class specified, which may be operated with greater facility than hitherto and perform the desired work expeditiouslyaiul in a perfect manner.

From the above description it will be seen that by moving the lever F first in one direction and then inthe other that the tub G will rotate to the right and left, and the clothes which are placed under the follower in the tub will be subjected to a requisite friction and pressure to insure them being thoroughly.
