SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 320,139, dated June 16, 1885.

Be it known that I, JACOB JoHNsoN, of Ashland, in the county of Saunders and State of Nebraska, have invented a new and Improved Driving-Line and Check-Rein Swivel, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
My invention relates to certain improvements in the swivel-connections for drivingreins, as will be hereinafter fully described and claimed.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, in which similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in both the figures.
Figure 1 is a plan view of my improved driving-line and check-rein swivel. Fig. 2 is ed with the bit.

is passed through the piece A in such a manner that the head will be on the inner surface of the piece. The pin E is then flattened for insertion in one end of the cheek-rein G, and is held therein by means of rivets.
I am aware that swivel-connections for preventing reins from twisting are not new, and I do not claim such, broadly, as of my invention.
