SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 318,657, dated May 26, 1885.

Be it known that LEUGENE E. Erorrilnnsof the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and Improved Clothes and Hat Hook, of which the following is a full, clear, and eXact description.

The object of my invention is to provide a new and improved clothes-hook which is simple in construction, strong, and durable, and serves to hold a number of articles.

The invention consists in the construction and arrangement of parts, as will be hereinafter fully described and claimed.

Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawing, forming part of this specification, in which a perspective View of my improved clothes-hook is shown.

The fiat bar A is provided at the top and bottom with screw-holes for the screws 13, which hold the bar to a wall, post, board, &c.

From the top and bottom of the bar the bracket arms 0 and D project, which are united by an upright piece, E, projecting upward from the top bracket-arm, C, and carrying a disk, E, on its upper end, the top of the said disk being made convex.

At the front end of the top bracket-arm, O, a cross-piece, G, is arranged, the ends of which terminate in hooks or prongs H, arranged at right angles to the said bracket'arm. At the upper end-of the bottom bracket-piece, D, a hook, J, is formed, which projects to the front.

A hook, K, projects to the front from the lower end of the bar A and below the lower end of the lower or bottom bracket-arm, D.

Curved diagonal pieces or bars L unite the upright E and the cross-piece Gin the manner shown.

The upright E serves to support and hold a hat and cuffs, and the hooks H, J, and K serve to hold and support different articles of cloth- 111g.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

As an improved article of manufacture, a clothes-hook comprising the bar A, and havin g top and bottom screw-holes,forwardly-projecting bracket-arms C D, upright piece E, uniting the said arms at their forward ends, and having a disk, F, on its upper end, crosspiece G at the front end of the arm 0, and terminating in the horizontal hooked arms H H, hook J at the upper end of the bracketpiece D, hook K at the lower end of the bar A, and the curved pieces L, uniting the upright E and cross-piece G, substantially as set forth.
