An object of the invention issto provide an improved one piece folding box for holdingand displaying merchandise-` f Another object of the invention is to provide an improved one piece foldingfcontainer for merchandise which willbe: providediwith a i central opening through which the `merchandise contained in the boxmaybe viewed, togetheriwitha plurality ofintegrally formed `folding flapsvgarranged whereby two of saidfiaps supportthe merchandisein the containerand-the othertwo flaps seal the container. .if i u A further object of the invention is to provide an improved folding box container for merchandise which will be cut from a single blank of Inaterial and will be provided with a central window opening through which the merchandise may be viewed, and with a pair of oppositely disposed apertured folding flaps through which securing means will be disposed for holding the merchandise in .said container, and a second lpair of oppositely disposed foldable flaps formed with interlocking notches in their outer extremities whereby the same may be folded over the iirst mentioned flaps to seal and lock the box in closed position.
A still further object of the invention is to provide an improved folding box construction for merchandise which will be cut from a single blank of material and will comprise a top portion formed with a centrally disposed window through which the merchandise in said box will be displayed, and four foldable strips formed on the four sides of said box top to form the sides of the box, together with two pairs of oppositely disposed flaps, two of which are provided with means for supporting the merchandise inthe box, and the other two flaps provided with interlocking slots formed in their edges whereby the box may be securely fastened. i
Another object of the invention is to provide an improved shadow box container for merchandise which will be highly efficient in operation, and relatively inexpensive to manufacture and produce. i
Other objects will appear as the description proceeds.
In the accompanying drawings which form a part of this application,
Figure 1 is a plan view of the cut-out blank showing the shadow box container before the same hasbeen folded;
Figure 2 is a transverse sectional view through 1 claim. tcl. zoe-45.31)

Figur-e4 is a perspective View of the improved shadow* box container showing the forwardly disposed window in the top thereof together with the inturned "apertured flaps which are utilized forsupportingthe merchandise within said box.
Like characters of referenceare used throughout thei'ollowing fspecification` and the accompanying ldrawings to designate corresponding `In carrylngout the invention; there is provided an improved shadow box container for merchandise comprising a blank form for the container generally designated by the reference numeral I, said blank being provided with a square top portion 2 in which the centrally disposed window 3 is formed, through which the merchandise received in said box will be viewed.
The square box portion 2 will be formed along its four sides with the scorings I and with the integrally formed side portions 5 which will form `the sides of the box when the said container is folded.
The tabs B will be formed on the ends of the side portions 5 to be folded in to form a tight seal when the box is folded or assembled.
The scorings 'I will be formed at the outer sides of the side portions 5, and the outwardly extending substantially triangular shaped oppositely disposed merchandise supporting flaps 8 will be formed integrally with a pair of the oppositely disposed side portions 5. 'I'he oppositely disposed locking naps 9 will be formed integrally with the other pair of side portions 5, and will be formed with the inwardly and oppositely directed locking slots I0 in their outer sides.
liecuring apertures II will be formed through the outer portions of the naps 8, for the purpose hereinafter described.
In assembling the box container, the merchandise to be supported therein, represented by the large button I2 formed with a rearwardly extending eye I3 will be placed in the box when it is upside-down, and the flaps 8 will be bent upwardly and inwardly until the apertures II overlie the eye I3 which extends therethrough. A locking pin `or cotter key I4 will be -positioned or placed through the eye I3 of the button I2 to support the same in fixed position within the box. After this, the tabs E will be turned in and the oppositely disposed locking naps 9 will be bent form of'shadow box containerforimercharidise which will be cut from a single blank of cardboard or other suitable material such as plastic or the like, and which will be pmvttedwith-:eav window in its top through which the merchandise i to be received therein may be viewed.
