Application November 27, 1943, SerialNo. 512,003 z claims. (ci. 404-121) The invention relates to a calendar, and more especially to a two-year period calendar.

` A further object of the invention is the provision of a calendar of this character, -which is simple in its construction, unique in kind, thoroughly reliable and effective in purpose, durable, neat 'and attractive in appearance, conveniently usable as an advertising medium, and inexpensive to manufacture.
With these and other objects in view the invention consists in the features of construction,
The calendar A` comprises a stiff or relatively stiff substantially rectangular shaped board-like holder, I 0, preferably made from brous mate-4 rial, having preferably in the. lower half portion thereof a transverse slot II for the detachable hanging of sheets or` pages I2 upon the combination and arrangement of parts as will be l.
hereinafter more fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawing, and pointed out in the claims hereunto appended.
In the accompanying f drawing: Figure 1 is an elevation of the calendar constructed in accordance with the invention.
Figure 2 is a view similar to Figure 1 and reversed.
Figure 3 is a sectional view on the line 3-3 of Figure 1.
Figure 4 is a fragmentary elevation of the holder with the sheets or pages removed.
Figure 5 is an elevation on an enlarged scale of one of the calendar sheets or pages and it being reversed to that one shown in Figure 1.
Similar reference characters indicate corresponding parts throughout the several views in the drawing.
Referring to the drawing in detail A designates generally the calendar in its entirety as constructed in yaccordance with the invention.

At the uppermost edge portion of each sheet or page I2 are laterally extended tongues or tabs I3 which are adapted for releasable engagement in the said slot II for the fastening o f the sheets or pages in groups inl the holder I0 as will appear from Figures 1 and 3 of the drawing. f
Arranged on opposite faces of the holder I0 are pictorial representations I4 and I5, respectively, to give decorative character to the calendar, the holder being reversible and for this purpose a hole I6 is provided adjacent to its uppermost edge, while appearing beneath the representation is desired advertising matter, generally indi- The sheets or pages I2 on one face thereof have printed or otherwise made visible monthly calendar data as at I8, each sheet or page I2 giving the name of a particular month, number and the names of the days thereof in a determined year, the latter period being also disclosed, while at the opposite side or other face of ea'ch sheet or page is similar data of a succeeding year period, as at I9 in Figure 5 of the draw-- ing. The sheets are reversible and are reversely hung in the manner as before described upon the holder I0, so that the calendar has a two-year life usage. The tongues or tabs I3 when engaged in the slot II will interlock therewith beyond the ends of the same with the holder I0, as will be" clearly obvious-in Figures 1 and 3 of the drawlng.
To prevent the leaves I2 from being blown from the holder Ill by an electric fan, a'nd to prevent the leaves from being accidentally detached from the holder in any other manner, a key 20 is employed. 'I'he key 20, which may be made of cardboard, light sheet metal or other suitable material, passes through a, loop 2I struck up from the holder I0 and passes through a slot 22 formed in the holder. The loop 2l and the slot 22 are located respectively above and below those portions of the leaves located at the rear side of the holder Ill, and the key 20 contacts with such portions of the leaves and holds them tightly against th rear side of the holder so as to prevent the accidental detachment of the leaves from the holder. The key 20 is provided at its upper end with a cross piece 2l by means of which it may be conveniently applied to or removed from the holder Il. -Should that face of the holder II that is exposed to view become soiled or faded, the holder may be reversed to present its opposite face to view.
