To all whom it may concemr Be it' known that I, NILE F. WYNKOOP, of
Chemung, Ohemung county, State of New York, have invented an Improvement in Nut- Locks, of which the following is the specification. a My invention is a device fully'described hereinafter, for securing nuts in the positions to which they may be adjusted on the bolt threaded rods, &c., to which they are applied.

The bolt A is provided with two threads running in opposite directions, either crossing each other or on different portions of the bolt, as shown. To one thread is adapted anut, B, and to the other anut, 0. Through one ofthe nuts extends a set-screw, D, preferably with a blunt end, which screw, when turned to bear on the opposite nut, tends to force them apart As an improvement in reverse-threaded bolts and nuts, the bolt A, having reverse threads, in combination withthe nuts B 0, each adapted to one of the threads, and with the set-screw D, carried by one of 'the nuts, substantially as set forth.
