2 Claims. (01. 24059) My invention relates to head lamps and more the adjacent end of a battery as illustrated in particularly to electric head lamps adapted to Figure 2. be worn on the head of a user. A bus bar I5 is carried by the inner face of the One of the principal objects of my invention outer wall of the section 1, adjacent the front end 6 is to provide a head lamp so constructed and thereof, and is insulated therefrom by a strip of 5 arranged as to permit the mounting thereof upon insulating material l5. One end of said bus bar is the head of a wearer so that the lamp will direct fashioned with a forwardly extending arm having light from the forehead on illumination of said electric contact with a centrally disposed terminal lamp, thus eliminating the necessity of the carryof the bulb ll. Slidably mounted through the 10 ing of the lamp in the hand and thereby giving front wall of the casing and insulated therefrom 10 freedom of use of the hands of the wearer. is a switch button H, the rear end of which is Another object of my invention is to provide a provided with a switch blade l8, one end of lamp of the above described character wherein which slidably engages the bus bar I5 and the the electric batteries are mounted in a novel opposite end a contact strip I9 carried by the manner and the current supply therefrom is conmaterial 66. Said strip l9 engages the positive 15 trolled by a switch readily accessible for the terminal of the adjacent battery and coacts with turning on or off of the lamp of the electric bulb e Sp M to maintain e ba te es n contype when the same is worn on the head, the supnected condition with said band.
porting band of the lamp being of a kind for self- Operation of the switch button in one direction adjustment for the fitting of the lamp about serves to break the connection between the strip 20 the head of the wearer. l9 and the blade l8 while operation in the oppo- A further object of my invention is to provide a site direction serves to effect electrical connecdevice of the above described character which is tion between the strip 19 and bus bar 5 by simple in construction, durable in use, efficient establishing a Circuit from Said battery to the Referring to the drawing wherein like refereach other the section may be swung 130 p ence characters designate like parts throughout p on to permit removal and insertion of the 30 t r l i batteries 9 within the respective sections.
