Description

    CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
  • The present application claims priority to, and the benefit of, U.S. Provisional Application No. 63/643,447, which was filed on May 7, 2024, and is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
  • FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates generally to the field of body-enhancing devices. More specifically, the present invention relates to an upper-body garment comprised of a rear area with a pocket that receives a removably or fixedly attached pad that enhances the wearer's buttocks shape. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.
  • BACKGROUND
  • Some men and women may have a naturally flat or less prominent buttocks area, which can create difficulties in keeping lower body garments, such as pants, skirts, shorts, or other clothing items, securely in place around the waist. When the body lacks the natural contour that helps garments stay in position, these items may slip down or shift uncomfortably throughout the day. This can cause the wearer to frequently adjust their clothing, which not only creates discomfort but can also become a source of self-consciousness or embarrassment, especially in social or professional settings.
  • To address this issue, many individuals turn to accessories like suspenders, belts, or elastic waistbands to hold their clothing up. However, even these solutions can present challenges. Suspenders, while effective, might not always be practical or fashionable for everyday wear, and belts can dig into the waist, creating further discomfort, especially when worn for extended periods. For individuals with limited physical dexterity, such as those who are elderly, have arthritis, or experience other mobility-related conditions, using these accessories becomes even more problematic. The act of fastening or adjusting a belt or suspenders can be difficult or even painful, making the process of dressing and undressing unnecessarily complex.
  • Additionally, these physical limitations can lead to dependency on others for assistance, which might diminish a person's sense of independence and self-sufficiency. In some cases, the struggle to keep clothing properly in place can deter individuals from wearing certain types of garments altogether, limiting their wardrobe choices and negatively impacting their personal style. These limitations may also deter the individual from being seen in public, thus creating isolation and negatively impacting their mental wellness. Thus, the need for a more convenient and accessible solution to this problem is essential, one that can accommodate individuals with different body types and physical abilities, while also providing both comfort and style in their daily lives.
  • Therefore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a body shape-enhancing garment. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a shape-enhancing camisole garment device. More specifically, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a shape-enhancing camisole garment device that helps keep lower-body garments in place without a belt, suspenders, or other similar devices. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a shape-enhancing camisole garment device that helps keep lower body garments in place without a belt, suspenders, or other similar devices and that enhances the wearer's body shape without sacrificing functionality or causing discomfort during all-day wear.
