Abstract

A boot having a holster on the exterior thereof for containing a concealed weapon within the interior thereof.

Description

    CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • The present application claims the benefit of priority of U.S. Provisional Application No. 63/342,874, filed May 17, 2022, all the contents of which are incorporated herein.
  • FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • This application relates generally to a firearm holster and more particularly to a permanent firearm holster located on the exterior of a boot.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Many concealed firearms holsters are strapped to a person's upper, mid or lower torso for ease of access and/or concealment. All concealed carrying firearm holsters are worn under or between layers of clothing to which the holsters are temporarily and removable attached.
  • The present invention represents an improvement in the field of concealed weapons.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTORY
  • The present invention is directed to a boot having a lower foot covering portion attached to an upper leg covering portion having a holster attached to the outer surface of the leg covering portion above the lower foot covering portion.
  • A slot is defined between the inner surface of the holster and the exterior portion of the leg covering portion for containing a concealed weapon. A closure is included for closing said slot as to retain the concealed weapon with the slot of the holster. And when embodied, the snap is a silent military snap and in other embodiments comprises a zipper and/or Velcro. The interior of the slot in one embodiment comprises a low friction lining such as nylon to ease in removal and replacement of the concealed weapon.
  • In one embodiment the holster portion is covered with and attached to buffalo hide so as to obscure the outline of the weapon within the slot.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the boot of this invention showing the relationship between a holster and a concealed weapon.
  • FIG. 2 is cross sectional view showing the slot into which the concealed is inserted into the holster.
  • FIG. 3 is a view similar to FIG. 1 partially in phantom showing the location of a concealed weapon within the holster of the boot.
  • FIG. 4 is a rearview perspective view of the FIG. 1 view illustrating the slot in the open position.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The essence of this invention is a convention boot whether it be cowboy style or military style in which an outer portion of the boot contains a holster for concealing a weapon and having that weapon immediately available for use when the need arises. Other advantages and features become apparent from the following description giving with reference to the various figures of a drawing:
  • FIG. 1 of the drawings illustrates a boot 1. The boot has a lower foot covering portion 3 and an upper leg covering portion 5 attached to the lower foot covering portion 3. The boot has an interior portion 7 adapted to be adjacent to the leg of wearer and outer exterior surface 9. A holster 11 is attached to the exterior portion 9 and defines a slot 11 between said exterior portion of the leg covering portion and an interior portion 13 of the slot. A concealed weapon 15 is illustrated as being as inserted or removed from the slot.
  • Once the concealed weapon 15 is concealed with the holster, it is closed with a closure 17. FIG. 2 is a partial cutaway view showing the slot within the holster. The slot may be and is preferably covered with a low friction covering 21 to ease in removal and replacement of the weapon 15. The low friction covering is preferably nylon but may be another low friction material so as to ease in removal and replacement of the weapon 15 as show in FIG. 3 .
  • The closure 17 may be a silent military snap closure but may be other closures such as Velcro or a zipper. FIG. 4 is a rearview of the boot 1 illustrating the slot 11 in an open position for receipt of a weapon and shows the lining 21 of the low friction material.
  • The boot 1 may be made of typically cowhide in the case of a cowboy style boot but may be a composite material in the case of military style boots. The holster 11 in the case of a cowboy style boot may be covered with buffalo hide in order to obscure the image of concealed weapon 15.
  • Having general described the invention in general terms which are not to be construed as limiting but limited only as set forth in the following appended claims.
