- Referring to
FIG. 1 , a plurality ofsuction cup assemblies 100, foursuction cup assemblies 100, mounting anobject 200, for example, a calendar orbanner 202, on aflat surface 300, for example, aglass wall surface 302, is shown. In an embodiment, the flat surface may be a wall, a door, a window, etc. Although foursuction cup assemblies 100 are shown and contemplated for mounting theobject 200 on theflat surface 300, it may be appreciated that any number of suction cup assemblies 100, for example, a singlesuction cup assembly 100 may be utilized for mounting theobject 200 on theflat surface 300. As shown inFIG. 1 , thesuction cup assembly 100 includes asuction cup 102 engaged to theglass wall surface 302 and aclip 120 removably coupled to thesuction cup 102 and theobject 200. - Referring to
FIG. 2 , thesuction cup 102 includes acup body 104 having anouter surface 106, and aninner surface 108 adapted to engaged withflat surface 300, and apost 110 engaged to thecup body 104 and centrally located on theouter surface 106 of thecup body 104. Thecup body 104 facilitates an engagement of thesuction cup 102 with theflat surface 300. In the relaxed (normal) state, as shown inFIG. 2 , theinner surface 108 of thecup body 104 is concave and defines aninternal cavity 114. To engage thesuction cup 102 with theflat surface 300,outer edges 116 of thecup body 104 is abutted to theflat surface 300 and thecup body 104 is compressed. When thecup body 104 is compressed to expel air from theinternal cavity 114, the normal tendency of thecup body 104 to return to its relaxed condition creates a lowered pressure inside thecavity 114 and, so longouter edges 116 of thecup body 104 remain sealed against theflat surface 300, thesuction cup 102 remains adhered to theflat surface 300. However, if sealing contact is disrupted at theouter edges 116 ofcup body 104, air leaks into theinternal cavity 114 and adherence is lost. - The
post 110 enables/facilitates the engagement/attachment/coupling of thesuction cup 102 and theclip 120. To enable the attachment of theclip 120 with thesuction cup 102, thepost 110 defines anelongated channel 118 as an engagement structure to receive a portion of theclip 120. - Referring to
FIG. 3 , theclip 120 includes a substantiallyflat body 122, for example, a rectangular plate, having afirst surface 124 and asecond surface 126 arranged opposite to thefirst surface 124. Thebody 122 may include at least one outer edge, for example, a firstlongitudinal edge 128, a secondlongitudinal edge 130 arranged opposite to the firstlongitudinal edge 128, a firstlateral edge 132 connecting the firstlongitudinal edge 128 to the secondlongitudinal edge 130, and a secondlateral edge 134 arranged opposite to the firstlateral edge 132 and connecting the firstlongitudinal edge 128 and the secondlongitudinal edge 130. In an embodiment, the firstlongitudinal edge 128 and the secondlongitudinal edge 130 may extend substantially parallel to each other and may be arranged substantially perpendicular to the firstlateral edge 132 and the secondlateral edge 134. Also, the firstlateral edge 132 and the secondlateral edge 134 may extend substantially parallel to each other. It may be appreciated that lengths of the 128, 130 may be larger than lengths of thelongitudinal edges 132, 134.lateral edges - Moreover, the
